Part 2587pb16 is a black LEGO® minifigure breastplate from the Avatar The Last Airbender theme, appearing in two sets from the original 2006 range: 3828 Air Temple and 3829 Fire Nation Ship.

The breastplate mould covers the chest, shoulders, and upper legs in a single piece. Shoulder pauldron flanges extend on each side, and the lower section splits into two leg guard panels that sit over the minifigure hips. The front face carries a Firebender print consisting of two large dark reddish brown hexagonal panel shapes outlined in a lighter reddish brown line, arranged side by side across the chest. The print gives the chest area a faceted, glassy appearance against the black mould.

The reverse of the piece is plain black with a central connection socket that fits over the standard minifigure torso stud. The shoulder flanges wrap forward to frame the chest panel on each side. The leg guard section is unprinted on both faces.
